I tried to change myself as instructed (change my redditname, unfollowed some people, watched my tone, change my television, etc.) to be in the good graces of the Asian “Social Justice Warrior” online community, but no matter what I did, they still disliked me and was not willing to let me speak openly. At some point in time, you have to move on. I think it’s really immature to keep battling back and forth. While some of them have literally wished me death, I would never wish that on any other human being that I don’t know.
Ironically, members of Alt Right contacted me to give me the support I needed and allow me to be me without censorship. I’m really excited. At first I thought they were a hateful White Supremacist group and my friends warned me to stay away from them, but it seems that couldn’t be farther from the truth. I was introduced to Pilleater, who describes his group as the Left Wing of the Alt Right. All he wants to do is promote Asian/Whites as an acceptable pairing, and that they shouldn’t suffer from hatred. He recently conducted an interview with me.
We have a lot of great projects on the horizon, and I’m hopeful I will get to create the safe space for people like us to talk about issues that matter to us and provide support for one another. I can’t wait. 🙂
